JP sent me this picture. Toby Keith came to their base for a concert. JP went 4 hours early with his friends to get this close to the stage. He's smiling... I just love that. I love you honey!

You know everyone remembers and appreciates the soldiers who are gone, but I want to say thank you for being so willing and understanding and sharing your husband so we can all have some amazing freedoms!
I hope he enjoyed the concert and that it took him away from all that misery over there for a little bit.
He looks like he was smoking a little concert herb...
well, since this concert took place on a very large military installation, I doubt very much that herbs were involved. Beyond that, I would doubt it because I know my husband.
He's happy. Happy to have something out of the ordinary going on in his little corner of hell. The ordinary, of course, being: having bombs lobbed into their homes, being shot at, and carrying around 40 lbs of body armor in 110 degree heat.
So, if he were baked, if he were the type to do so, if he were the type to completely disregard the law, then I guess I'd have to say he probably deserves it.
But he's not the type, so I guess what he deserves is a bit more respect than to assume that he's a pothead.
(guess he hit a nerve there, huh?)
All I meant was that he looked blissful and tired and happy...
That's actually a good thing...
That's great!! I like Toby...he's very dedicated to the soldiers.
